AI Chatbots as Research Assistants
Following the success of the 2025 AI Chatbots course, an updated three-day workshop will explore new applications of artificial intelligence tools to enhance productivity for researchers and scholars.
Facilitator
The workshop will be facilitated by Blaz Zupan, Ph.D., professor of AI and machine learning at the University of Ljubljana, Slovenia, and a visiting faculty member in the Huffington Department of Education, Innovation & Technology.
What You Will Gain
During the workshop, researchers and scholars will gain:
An introduction to how large language models process text and predict responses, including how model biases and response-generation mechanisms affect reliability and consistency
Practical approaches to using AI tools to improve efficiency in routine tasks
Techniques for structuring prompts to obtain accurate and relevant outputs
Methods such as guided Q&A, reverse-role exercises and structured brainstorming to boost productivity, creativity and problem-solving
Event Details
The event is presented by the Consortium for Translational and Precision Health’s Training and Workforce Development Program and Baylor College of Medicine’s Master Teacher Fellowship Program.
Register to attend the workshop, either in person at Baylor One Plaza, Suite N104, or virtually via Microsoft Teams from June 15 through June 17, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. CT daily.
In-person participation is limited to the first 30 registrants.
