About All of Us and N3C Program

The The All of Us Research Program, organized by the National Institutes of Health (NIH), is a prospective, multi-center observational study. Its goal is to create a central repository of data from multiple domains for secondary research, including:

  • Physical examinations

  • Surveys

  • Electronic health records

  • Genomic and other -omic data

Support Services

  • Supports genome-wide and related association studies

  • As of 2025:

  • 600,000 participants have contributed data

  • 300,000 participants have linked EHR information

  • Access requires:

  • Completion of online training modules

  • Verification of investigator credentials

  • New users receive a quota of free compute time, generally sufficient for analyses that do not involve -omic data

National COVID Cohort Collaborative (N3C)

The N3C is a collaboration among Clinical and Translational Science Awards (CTSA) Program hubs, supported by the National Center for Advancing Translational Science (NCATS), along with distributed clinical data networks such as:

  • PCORnet

  • OHDSI

  • ACT

  • TriNetX

Provides Support

  • Improve efficiency and accessibility of COVID-19 clinical data analysis

  • Enhance understanding of COVID-19

  • Demonstrate a novel model for collaborative data sharing
