Clinical and Translational Science Research Program (CTS)

The Clinical and Translational Science (CTS) Research Program supports research addressing key challenges in clinical and translational science.

Our goal is to support research projects that address translational roadblocks in innovation, adoption and dissemination. Projects should not only answer a translational research question within a specific disease or intervention but also generate generalized CTS innovations or insights that can advance CTS and Clinical and Translational Research (CTR) across CTSA UM1 Program Hubs.

Element E supports discrete, high‑impact research projects that address major challenges in clinical and translational science. Projects should focus on a key translational question within a specific disease area or intervention while also generating innovations that can be applied across CTSA UM1 Program Hubs.

Successful proposals will advance clinical and translational research and lay the groundwork for future adoption and dissemination across the national CTSA network.

The CTS Research Program is excited to invite eligible applicants to apply for our Cycle 2 RFA Release. Proposals must address a translational science (TS) barrier and include a translation research (TR) use-case. Funding is available through this mechanism for up to $150,000 per year in direct cost for two-three years. Collaboration with CTPH Resources & Services is strongly encouraged.

If you have any questions regarding the CTS Research Program and application process, please contact CTPH@bcm.edu.
